The Story
Our story begins in 2012, when former Coast Guard Matthew Fox and developer Bill Phua formed a partnership and laid the groundwork for what eventually became Alameda Island Brewing. Since we first opened our doors in 2015, Alameda Island Brewing has welcomed everyone with the simple goal of making beer accessible to everyone.
Our brewery & taproom is located in downtown Alameda at 1716 Park Street, home of the former Cavanaugh Motor Chrysler dealership.
Beer Program
At the end of 2019, Richard Angeles took over the head brewer position. Richard has been part of the brewing industry since 2009 and has been actively involved in commercial brewing operations since 2014.
You will find old-time favorites such as our Island Haze on tap alongside an eclectic mix of non-traditional and Filipino-inspired beers such as Neptune’s Harvest (pineapple saison) and SARAP! (calamansi pilsner)
